HySpex Bifrost is our upcoming software solution, set to reshape what's possible in the world of real-time hyperspectral technology. The software, which is compatible with all available HySpex cameras, allows for real-time 3D hypermesh visualization using hyperspectral data from UAV and airborne platforms, empowering users to gather and analyze hyperspectral insights quicker than ever before.
Even before its full release, we have demonstrated the software's revolutionary capabilities within the fields of mining, defence and environmental monitoring.
Some things HySpex Bifrost can do today, in real time:
- Generate 3D meshes from LiDAR
- Perform georeferencing
- Apply atmospheric correction
- Run application-specific modeling; including mineral mapping, methane leak detection, and target detection.
All results are visualized in full 3D in real time on the ground station. The software is designed to be compatible with platforms ranging from stratospheric systems to crewed airborne and UAVs.
In Norse mythology, Bifrost is the name of the glowing bridge between the realm of the gods and the realm of the mortals. With HySpex Bifrost, we aim to build a new kind of bridge — one that bridges the gap between the seen and the unseen in real time, connecting hyperspectral data to immediate insight.
The HySpex Bifrost Software is still under development, so its capabilities and features are subject to change as development continues. Among other things, we are planning to add an API that allows users to add their own applications.
