NEO and Teleplan Globe sign agreement to explore sensor integration and situational awareness

[OSLO, Norway] - October 30, 2026
Norsk Elektro Optikk (NEO) and Teleplan Globe have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering electro-optical sensors, system integration and uncrewed systems. The collaboration aims to explore how their complementary technologies can improve situational awareness and decision support in demanding operations.
Signed on 26 October 2026, the agreement brings together NEO’s expertise in electro-optical and hyperspectral technology with Teleplan Globe’s experience as a system integrator in the C4ISR domain.
A key focus is exploring the integration of NEO’s sensors and the information they provide with Teleplan Globe’s FACNAV, a modular C4ISR suite, that unites command, sensors, fires, and unmanned systems into a single, integrated operational picture. The collaboration will focus particularly on exploring the integration of NEO’s sensor technology with FACNAV UxS for uncrewed systems, and will address opportunities across defence, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and uncrewed platforms.
This is an important partnership for NEO. We have developed advanced real-time processing software that can turn hyperspectral sensor data into actionable information, including automatic target detection. But detecting a target is only part of the solution. To make this information operationally useful, it needs to be seamlessly integrated into the systems soldiers use in the field. By combining our sensor technology and real-time processing capabilities with Teleplan Globe’s expertise in situational awareness and command and control systems, we can bring this information directly to the people who need it, when they need it” says Trond Løke, CEO of NEO.
The companies will explore technical and operationalconcepts through joint testing, demonstrations and concept development. This work will also help identify potential customer projects and new market opportunities.
“Sensor integration is an integral part of what we do at Teleplan Globe, connecting sensors, manned and uncrewed systems, and effectors within a common battlefield management ecosystem. Through this collaboration, we see strong potential in integrating NEO’s sensor technologies with FACNAV UxS, adding new capabilities to an ecosystem designed to enable these assets to operate as one cohesive force.” says Stein Gundersrud, CEO of Teleplan Globe.
The MoU establishes a non-binding framework for cooperation. Specific projects and deliveries will be subject to separate agreements.
